PT Inco Indonesia

PT Inco (part of Vale) which operates a large scale Nickel mine and smelter on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi commisioned Mintract to implement major changes across its contracting operations to improve efficiency, transparency and risk management. Mintract is providing across PT Inco’s mining and processing operations, contract management expertise which includes:

Phosphate Hill – Open Cut Tender

Incitec Pivot which is one of the largest producers of super phosphates in the world requested Mintract’s assistance to develop and manage the tender for open cut mining at the Phosphate Hill mine site. Mintract provided project management services and assistance with the tender development and review as well as the prequalification process. Mintract set up a special intranet site on their computer network which allowed both the client and Mintract to freely exchange and update information in a secure environment.

Roche – Coal Processing Plant

Roche (now Downer EDI) were constructing two state of the art coal processing plants on an EPCM basis and engaged Mintract to provide specialist contract management expertise to develop, review and resolve variation and delay claims. Mintract reviewed documentation, identified key risk and opportunity areas across the two plants and developed a number of claims for variation and delay. Claims were documented with easily accessed electronic subject files which gave the complete history and backup of the claim.
